Job Description:
The Faculty Center at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Senior Staff Assistant. This is a 10-month, full-time position. Reporting to the Director of the Faculty Center, expectations include collaborating on Faculty Center institutes, workshops, conferences, and events.
The Faculty Center provides support for faculty to develop effective and inclusive teaching practices and provides support for faculty to develop as professionals on campus. To learn more about the College or the Office, please visit https://suny.oneonta.edu/

Duties include but not limited to: coordinating and assisting in designing Faculty Center events, completing tasks required to implement faculty events including in-person and online/Teams meetings set up, link and reservation management, ordering catering, marketing, managing reservation lists, preparing and distributing materials, performing event follow-up, including post-event reports (paper or online). The Senior Staff Assistant will partner with faculty, the Faculty Center Director, the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center and other offices to develop programming. Additionally, this position is responsible for: working with the graduate assistant on marketing and data management, maintaining Center web site, Teams sites, and other online content hosted through the Center, management and organization of resources for faculty, facilitating Professional Learning Community groups, and assisting the Faculty Center Director with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Required qualifications: bachelor's degree; demonstrated effective written communication and presentation skills; proficiency with graphic design; proficiency with website management; a record of successful collaborations; a demonstrated interest in higher education pedagogy and faculty development.
Preferred: master's degree; proficiency in event planning, marketing, and event materials design; experience working in a higher education setting; demonstrated knowledge of teaching pedagogy and best practices; experience working with and serving diverse populations.
