Minimum Requirements:

Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and two years of experience as a psychological counselor. May require certification in Psychodiagnostics and Autonomous Functioning from the Kentucky State Board of Psychology. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.

Position Description:

This full-time staff member will primarily be responsible for providing therapy services to enrolled UofL students, including individual, group, couples, crisis intervention, and assessment.  

  • Provide initial assessments, crisis management/triage, individual, group, and couples counseling to students, both in-person and via a telehealth platform.
  • Use electronic system to prepare and maintain records, evaluations, and reports in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with professional, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Consult and collaborate with Campus Health providers, Student Affairs, other university departments, and outside agencies, when needed.
  • Provide clinical supervision to 1 graduate trainees, including the assessment practicum student.
  • Provide outreach services, including resource fairs, presentations, etc.
  • Serve on University and Divisional committees and groups as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate from an accredited university in Clinical or Counseling Psychology;
  • 4 years' experience in a clinical or counseling setting, including psychological assessment;
  • ability to provide services via telehealth platform and use an EMR system
  • experience at a college counseling center or community agency, including group therapy;
  • licensure to function autonomously as a Psychologist in KY, or be able to obtain such licensure
  • within 12 months;
  • ability to provide oversight of ULCC's group program, i.e., coordinating with staff group leaders
  • for scheduling, marketing/communication with other departments, coordinating off-site
  • workshop locations, etc.);
  • strong organizational skills;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • experience working with and providing clinical services to a diverse population
  • experience working on a college campus; ability to establish and maintain good relationships
  • with peers and campus community partners.
Salary commensurate with experience.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
