Position Description

Part-Time Position

The Yum! Center for Global Franchise Excellence at the University of Louisville's College of Business seeks to hire one Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR). An EiR is a part-time instructional position. It is expected that the Franchise EiR will teach one course per semester (e.g., 3 credit hours each in Fall and Spring; may teach Summer but will not be required to teach more than two total courses).

The Franchise EiR will function as a resource for inquiries coming into the Center and serve as a representative of the Center at US franchise conferences, with travel expected (budget provided). The outcomes expected are as follows:

• Work with companies in the franchise sector to promote the educational opportunities provided by UofL (graduate, undergraduate, and non-credit), increasing enrollments.
• Create connections for future podcast guests as well as curate speakers for content curriculum.
• Solicit opportunities (e.g., internships or special projects) for students in the Capstone course of the UG Franchise Certificate (working with the Board too).

Anticipated pay is $30K per year with the initial term of the employment contract will be 1-2 years with a renewal possible.

Qualifications:

• Franchising experience - currently working in franchising preferable.
• Master's Degree though Ph.D. preferred.
• Position is remote, so location not important
• Willing to travel in US
