The Department of Residential Community Life at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the positions of Area Coordinator. Expectations include, but are not limited to, supervision of full time staff member, oversee 200-250 bed residence hall with second line supervision over a second residence hall and member of the leadership team for the department.

Job Description:
Duties include but are not limited to
: The Area Coordinators are responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Residential Community Life Program. The position will take leadership and management responsibility for one of the following department functions: Recruitment and Selection of Student Staff; Student Leadership Development and Student Staff Training; Special Interest/affinity group housing, student staff recognition and group advising. The Area Coordinator position is live in, which means they will have Residential Assistant staff to supervise and residence hall to oversee. Additionally, the Area Coordinator will directly supervise one (1) full-time residence hall director and assist with their development, growth, evaluation, and training.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
: Master's degree, supervisory experience, minimum of two years full-time residence life experience, programming/presentation experience, excellent verbal/written skills, student organization advising experience, experience serving diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to issues of equity, diversity and inclusion; on-call/duty or related crisis experience; detail oriented; ability to work well independently or in a team; commitment to personal growth and developing others.
