The College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a self-directed, highly motivated professional to join our graduate program team in serving as a Program Coordinator for a College of Nursing program (CURE Program) aimed at improving the educational climate and broadening learning experiences to contribute to the expansion and preparation of a diverse nursing workforce. The project builds on successful evidence-based strategies currently in place at the college. This project is full-time and time limited projected to last 4 years with renewal for funding annually. Within this role the CURE Program Coordinator will:

*Facilitate and implement activities under the direction of the CURE Project Director and Deputy Project Director. *Serve as primary contact for prospective and enrolled program students (i.e., CURE Fellows). *Collaborate with Office of Student Affairs in the delivery of student support, academic advising, and retention plans. *Manage data collection for tracking and evaluation. *Assist with preparation of performance reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

*Design/create and conduct seminars, classes, workshops or programs. *Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement. *Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives. *Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports. *Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants. *Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments. *May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION

*Bachelor's Degree. *Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

One (1) year of program coordination experience.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED

*The ideal candidate will have a commitment to working with financially disadvantaged/underrepresented minority students. *Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others both in writing and verbally. *Must be able to develop working rapport with faculty/staff, internal departments, and the external healthcare community.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

*Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
