An opportunity has arisen to join the University of Plymouth’s Peninsula Clinical Trials Unit as a Clinical Trial Administrator. The Peninsula Clinical Trials Unit (PenCTU) addresses health and social care challenges through the design, development and delivery of national and international clinical trials and other health research studies in a variety of clinical fields. PenCTU are looking for someone with energy and enthusiasm who will undertake wide-ranging duties to support the efficient running of the Unit overall and support the collection and management of high quality research data. You will apply professional administrative and organisational skills to develop and maintain office workflows, and will also take an active role in coordinating the collection and processing of research data, across a range of the Unit’s research projects. You will have numeracy and literacy at secondary education level (or equivalent demonstrable experience) and be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word/Excel and Outlook. You will have strong organisational skills, an enthusiasm for learning and improving processes and a positive, helpful attitude. You will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team and be able to manage your time effectively, prioritising work according to changing business needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of trial managers, data managers, database developers, statisticians, researchers and clinicians in an academic health services research environment. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis. Flexible working options including job share will be considered.
