The Outreach and Immigration Program Coordinator assists the Director in developing relationships and partnerships to implement the Center for Community Research and Engagement’s programs. This Outreach and Immigration Program Coordinator will oversee the development of programs and outreach efforts for the Center for Community Research and Engagement’s Migrant and Refugee Parish Outreach program. This will involve efforts to assist local migrants and refugees through collaborative efforts with the Archdiocese of Newark, Seton Hall faculty, and specific parishes in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Community Outreach and Engagement: Responsible for working with the Director to develop and maintain partnerships with select parishes in the Archdiocese of Newark and other community organizations for migrant and refugee programming; communicate with and coordinate program plans with partnering sites; attend regular meetings with partnering organizations and sites and share feedback from partners with CCRE staff, faculty and students.

2. Program Development and Implementation: Involved in all aspects of program planning, development, and implementation assisting in identifying parishes to host an initiative for migrants and refugees, developing program structures in partnership with the Archdiocese and partnering parishes, developing curriculum and programs with faculty, staff, and other community organizations, and implementing programs at parishes in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.

3. Fund Development: Assist in development and implementation of grant fund development for initiatives focused on serving local migrants and refugees. Responsible for the assessment and analysis of long-term fund-raising needs in cooperation with Advancement , including development of a long-term strategic plan for fund development, preparing print materials and mailing, drafting proposals and correspondence for prospective funders, developing and coordinating special events and activities related to fund development. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies for prospect identification and solicitation, proposal development, and coordination of internal support activities. Coordinate all other activities to support fundraising as authorized by Advancement.

4. Faculty Development and Coordination: Responsible for presenting/communicating information and soliciting feedback from faculty on program structure/policies; coordinating the recruiting of new faculty to participate in curriculum development and programming with local parishes.

5. Student Supervision and Training: Responsible for coordinating and some supervision of Seton Hall student interns and volunteers working with programs for migrants and refugees.

Required Qualifications:

- Master’s degree – Field of study: Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or Related Field

- At least 1-3 years of experience working with and for nonprofit, service, and/or government organizations.
