The

College of Business

at the University of Montana is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the

Assistant or Associate Professor

level focused on Operations Management

. The appointment will be in the department of Management Information Systems. The expected start date is Fall of 2023 on campus in Missoula, MT. Applicants will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and master’s levels, maintain an active research agenda, and engage in professional and service activities.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in a business or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution prior to the starting date of employment.

Teaching experience or interest in operations management.

Demonstrated potential to publish or recent peer-reviewed journal publications in fields of expertise and an active, ongoing research agenda.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D from an AACSB accredited school.

Teaching quality demonstrated by recent teaching evaluations and/or awards.

Teaching experience or interest in other MIS areas.

Demonstrated commitment to serving the needs of diverse students (e.g., Native Americans, first generation college students, non-traditional aged students, military veterans).

Relevant professional experience in operations management, supply chains, logistics, information systems, or management science.

Demonstrated ability to engage the business community.
