Job Description:

BASIC PURPOSE: In support of the mission of the University, provides administrative and secretarial support to the WISE program.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Performs administrative, secretarial and receptionist duties for the WISE program as assigned by the program director.

2. Registers and processes payment for students in the WISE program, and answers inquiries daily, in-person, by phone and email.

3. Keeps all required records for the program, including databases. Maintains necessary supplies. Informs WISE students of class postponements/cancellations by faculty.

4. Assists in the scheduling and promotion of WISE programs and events.

5. Performs similar or related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.

* Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

* Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.

* Word processing and/or data entry skills.

* Records maintenance skills.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.

* Database management skills.

* Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.

* Ability to use Microsoft Office Products

* Website and Facebook Management Skills

Additional Information:

SCOPE:

* Interacts on a regular basis with all members of the University community, including faculty members, administration, staff, students, and Trustees.

* Supervises work-study students.
