The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate and ensure accuracy of the permanent academic records of graduate students.
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred. Excellent oral and written communication
Two to five years experience in higher education student records technology or related field. Experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions preferred.
Assists with training of new academic records specialists.
Functions as back up to the Assistant Registrar for answers to transfer, degree clearance and academic records questions from the academic records specialists and academic program staff and faculty.
Works with Registrar Leadership to address Special Projects needs
Coordinates the development of the Academic Records Specialist Procedure Manual.
Assists with staff cross-training of graduate and professional programs.
Supervises student staff in the academic records area.
Serves on Sub-Committees representing the Office of the Graduate and Professional Registrar
Evaluates and verifies that all graduation requirements have been met and posts degrees to permanent academic record
Coordinates the diploma ordering process for all master’s and doctoral degrees.
Manages the workflow processes and timeline for grading. Uses in-person appointments, e-mail and telephone to explain academic policies related to grading, academic probation, dismissal procedures and graduation process to students, faculty, and staff.
Maintains open and appropriate communication with faculty, deans and students regarding academic policies and procedures.
Provides Degree Verification Letters upon request.
Evaluates and posts transfer work as needed.
Informs the Assistant Registrar of problems related to student academic records.
Is proficient in the use of university integrated student database, PeopleSoft, and software tools.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Registrar.

Two to five years experience with higher education student records technology or related field. Proficient in Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
