The Department of Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for purchasing the property and casualty insurance for the university, managing the professional and general liability trust funds, handling professional liability claims for the University of Cincinnati Physicians, Inc. and the UC College of Medicine faculty and identifying potential risks and opportunities at the university within the scope of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program. In addition, we provide risk management and claims services to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center through a shared service agreement with UC Health. This position is responsible for project management of a risk management information system (Riskonnect) which houses claims and insurance information on a Salesforce platform, accounts payable and receivable for claims, writing and running reports, as well as handling the financial (SAP) and administrative functions for the office.

This is an in office position 30 hours a week with full-time benefits.


*Administration and support of the department’s claims/risk management/ERM database, which involves data entry, import, export, and report creation and production in Salesforce, Excel and Word. *Various fiscal administrative duties including P-Card allocation and reconciliation purchase of supplies, internal transfers and allocations, check requests and bank deposits. *Management of other accounts payable and receivable transactions for the insurance and claims operations. *Assistance/coordination of office travel, schedule of significant meetings, and calendar management. *Answering the main phone line and direct calls as appropriate; serve as key front office contact; daily monitor of departmental mailbox. *Response to requests for proof of insurance and claim history letters.


*Bachelor's degree; - OR- Associate's degree and two (2) years’ experience; -OR- five (5) years’ experience; degree must be in accounting, finance, information systems or related field, with relevant and related experience.


*2-5 years’ experience in an administrative or key support role, involving high-level database system use - preferably a risk management information system, Salesforce platform, or other major claims management system. *SAP and Salesforce experience *Advance MS Office skills, with emphasis in Excel and Word *Reliable; strong work ethic; self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills *Detail-oriented with logic and problem solving in the database environment *Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
