Seeking a creative and highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to join the lab of Dr. Noyan Gokce, M.D. within the Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute at the Boston University School of Medicine and participate in our active clinical translational research laboratory elucidating mechanisms of vascular dysfunction in human obesity and metabolic disease.
Candidate will be expected to master the ex vivo video microscopy organ chamber technique, perform experiments characterizing microvascular function of live arterioles harvested from human adipose tissue, analyze and interpret data output. Assist in the preparation of scientific abstracts and manuscripts to disseminate results through peer reviewed manuscripts and academic conferences and apply for additional funding including drafting grant applications, and identifying new funding opportunities.
