UMOnline invites applications for an Instructional Designer (ID). This position is a key member of the instructional design team whose primary responsibility is to assist and support instructors in developing online, blended and hybrid courses, incorporating educational technologies in teaching and learning across **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. (UM) and beyond. Job location is in Missoula, MT (with possible opportunity to work remotely in accordance with UM and department policies).
This position will collaboratively supervise students on tasks related to course development projects and provide input to the Instructional Design Manager regarding student employee performance and relationship matters.
Additional opportunities may include working with and supporting external partners including those involved in professional development, corporate training, workforce development and non-traditional educational environments including non-credit offerings, stackable credentials, and digital badges. The Instructional Designer must have a strong commitment to creating a vibrant and welcoming culture that recognizes values and respects diversity.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Work autonomously with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s learning needs to create engaging and accessible learning activities and course content that enhance the learning experience.
Responsible for consultation and collaboration across teams.
