The College of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations to join the Administration team. Responsible for assisting in the administration, coordination and direction of College of Medicine alumni engagement, activities, events and communications.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Assists in organizing and executing local and regional College of Medicine alumni engagement events.
Manages meetings and activities of Medical Alumni Council.
Assists in developing and managing alumni engagement opportunities such as HOST program, class agent volunteers, and other alumni programming.
Assists in maintaining and updating College of Medicine alumni websites, electronic newsletters, marketing/promotional materials, and social media messaging.
Works with College of Medicine units to develop new alumni and resident programming.
Maintains and updates information in alumni/donor database; prepares reports and mailing lists from database.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) in communications, business administration, marketing, public relations, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience in managing Alumni engagement outreach activities in a University setting.
Bachelor’s degree required in communications, business administration, marketing, public relations or a closely related field.
Requires strong customer service experience, decision-making skills, and ability to relate to interests of students and alumni.
Excellent communication, organization, analytical and computer/pc skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and related fundraising software is also required.
