The BU School of Public Health (SPH) is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven candidate in the Community Health Science Department. The Project Manager under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Director of Research Operations, will be responsible for managing a large scale study funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Clinical Trials Network (CTN): the EXHIT ENTRE Study. This Study includes two major aims: 1) a multi-site randomized controlled trial of extended release buprenorphine for hospitalized patients with opioid use disorder, and 2) a multi-site trial assessing high and low intensity implementation of addiction consult services across community hospitals in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities include Project Management and Implementation: Meet regularly with and report to the Principal Investigator. Work with the study team to develop protocols, intervention materials, and facilitate trainings. Work with the research team to facilitate & ensure protocol adherence and quality assurance activities to achieve study goals. Plan agenda, facilitate, and lead weekly team meetings and ensure that minutes are taken, edited and distributed. Collaborate with research team to develop presentations, abstracts and manuscripts for submission to national conferences and scholarly journals.
Personnel Management: Responsible for hiring and supervising research support staff. Complete performance evaluations. Schedule and facilitate regular staff meetings.
Grant Management: Oversee project fiscal management (e.g., monitoring expenses, facilitating contracts, ordering materials).
Experience in data analysis and manuscript preparation is helpful.
Knowledge of MS Word, Power Point, and Excel is essential.
Cultural sensitivity and comfort interacting with a wide range of social, racial and ethnic populations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, utilize time and resources efficiently and establish priorities and coordinate and complete competing assignments within established timeframes.
Experience working with substance using populations preferred.
3-5 years of experience working in clinical research, public health, or related field
