u003cpu003eAdler U is currently seeking an Assistant Director for our Student Affairs u0026amp; Disability Services Department. Under the general guidance of the Director of Student Affairs, the Assistant Director of Student Affairs will provide oversight of issues pertinent to student success and engagement. In this capacity, they will serve as a source of information pertinent to university policies, as an adjunct to faculty in the advisement of students and will support a range of student support services such as accessibility, student orientation, University events, and career services.u0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eA primary area of focus for the Assistant Director of Student Affairs is ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and provision of related programs and services.u0026nbsp; The Assistant Director will coordinate policies, pertinent information and procedures relating to accessibility services and the related accommodation processes for students. In addition to their focus on accessibility, the Assistant Director will support the Director of Student Affairs across a range of student engagement and support functions.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003ch4u003eu003cstrongu003eQualificationsu003c/strongu003eu003c/h4u003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eEducation/Experience:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eBacheloru0026rsquo;s degree in Student Administration, Higher Education or Counseling or related field required. Masteru0026rsquo;s in Business Administration with a concentration in Student Administration, Higher Education, Counseling or related field, preferred.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eMinimum three (3) years progressive, required. Ensure compliance with ADA regulations and oversee the student accessibility services and support including provision of reasonable accommodation, examination support, and ensuring sufficient resourcesu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eSupports New Student Orientation sessions for both ground and online programs as well as the execution of University eventsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eIn collaboration with the Office of Compliance, serves as international student advisor and in this capacity work to support and retain international studentsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eServes as a liaison and resource to faculty regarding University policy and best practices/emerging trends related to student successu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eCollaborate and partnership with student facing offices including Admissions, Academic Affairs, Information Technology, Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts and Facilities resolve problems, coordinate activities, and verify information.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eOrganizes and reports data pertinent to state and federal and accreditation by governmental and other accrediting bodies; Establishes and updates policies, procedures, and pertinent information related to student successu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eServes as a student advisory source, monitor attendance in collaboration with faculty, and Leave of Absence returns,u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eSupports Recognized Student Organizations management, provide guidance, support event organization, promotion and renewal process as neededu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eCollaborate with Vancouver and Online campuses to ensure consistency, collaboration, best practices and shared resources within student affairs.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eOversee student communication of events, policies and general information.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eDevelop and implement student engagement opportunities via ground and virtual settingsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eOther duties as assigned.u003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003cpu003eu0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eCOVID-19 considerations:u0026nbsp;u003c/strongu003eThe health and safety of our staff/faculty and their families, as well as our stakeholders, potential candidates, and the communities we serve, are of the utmost importance.
