Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Senior Advisor will focus on supporting the ongoing HR transformation. This will include items such as the implementation and launch of new HR systems (
, Performance Management). They will provide support of newly formed teams such as recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and talent development, Finally, they will partner with senior leadership to drive change management across a changing HR organization.
• Master’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, industrial and organizational psychology, or similar program OR Bachelor’s degree with extensive related experience will substitute for lack of master’s degree
• Experience with human resources principles and practices
• Ability to work in a cooperative, agile, team-based environment with experience as a leader/manager
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Virginia Tech human resources practices and procedures
• Experience training users, creating user documentation, and/or project management
• Experience in procuring and implementing HR software/systems such as
, or performance management
