Hennepin Technical College is accepting applications for current and/or future openings for temporary part-time Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Instructors, dedicated to excellence in career and technical education who desires to become part of an environment that values trust, integrity, pride, passion, respect, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and diversity. Teaching locations included Brooklyn Park, Eden Prairie, and/or Bloomington.
NOTE: Must be able to travel between campuses and to off-site locations.
NOTE: We currently have an opening in Bloomington working Monday through Friday 12:45 PM to 2:22 PM from November 30, 2017 to March 9, 2018 and then March 12, 2018 to June 7, 2018. This position requires a background check.

Examples of Duties:
Primary teaching responsibilities in nursing assistant/home health aide, which may include lab instruction and clinical locations and/or teaching a nursing assistant/home health aide class, classroom and clinical to high school students at Bloomington location.
Continuous curriculum development, including the design, revisions, and implementation of instructional materials and assessment of learner outcomes.
Integration of assessment activities into teaching practices and participation in department and college-wide assessment of student learning.
Support of the success and development of students through the use of a variety of instructional methods, available office hours, and by providing additional resources.
Availability to teach at any of our locations during the daytime, evening or weekend in order to maximize enrollment and meet the needs of our diverse student population.
Contribution into department decisions on budget, scheduling, textbook selection etc.
Participation in discipline, team, campus, and college matters through service on committees; attendance at regular meetings; and continued professional development.
Support and advance the department and college mission through ideas and projects.
Diploma or associate's degree in nursing.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience of direct patient care, one year must be in long term care.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
