The Academic Computing and Communications Center (ACCC) at UIC is seeking an IT Technical Associate ( Senior Enterprise Server Administrator
). Under minimal supervision the Senior Enterprise Server Administrator works as part of a team to provide support for the email service at UIC. This position will perform regular infrastructure updates and provides technical support services for the University and its related organizations; over the phone or on site; as required.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
25% Provide Tier 2/3 support for Office 365 to include Single Sign On (ADFS), directory synchronization and other responsible services (Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, backups, virtualization infrastructure)
50% Provide client support by answering questions both verbally and in written form. Work with departments to determine, document, and fulfill business needs. Manage service and problem tickets within established SLAs
5% Establish and maintain effective monitoring, reporting, and management of the Exchange environment on a day-to-day basis. Applying enhancements and/or fixes as necessary to maintain system performance and meet security standards.
5% Help design and support systems which fulfill business requirements of responsible service, provide for additional capacity, and allow for scalability
5% Develops and updates system administration procedures and works closely with other IT resources including developers, storage administrators, server administrators and first level support (Help Desk).
10% Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is required for this position
A minimum of five (5) years professional level IT experience within System Administration & Operations –
which includes demonstrated e
xperience in configuration, installation, maintenance, backup / recovery and upgrading multi-user computer systems hardware and software as well as establishing/managing user accounts.
Demonstrated knowledge of production Windows Server (2012 or higher) administration.
Technical support experience in a Microsoft Exchange environment
