The needs and requirements for school jobs:

It is important that you have a good academic record for being successful at school jobs. But the qualification requirements vary depending on the categories of teachers. However, graduation is a must. For teaching in higher classes, you must have a master's degree. Freshers can apply for school jobs. But those with experience are given preferences in big schools.

When you are planning to take up a school job, you must remember the following things:
  • Planning is very important: you must plan your course of action and you must follow the plan all the year round. True, this involves extra efforts. However, this process will make your job more organized and simple. In the long run, you will save time too. You may have to make alternate plans, in case something does not work. There are chances of this happening. Your student's might not respond the way you thought they would. For them, you need to plan something else. You must take the pains. It is a part of your job.
  • You must make sure that your classes interest the students: you should have the ability to arrest the interests of your students and hold them for all through the year. This is how they will stay motivated to attend your class all through the year. This is more important in case you are teaching in colleges because college students have the facility of skipping classes. You must make sure they find it interesting enough to come to class daily.
  • Be innovative: come up with innovative ideas in order to make the class interesting. If you continue following the same old method, your students no longer will be willing to do your class. Organize seminars, interact with students etc. Ask the students to clarify all doubts and encourage them to ask questions. You can also discuss things out of syllabus to grab their interest.
  • Observe students very carefully: observe students. Try to maintain a file containing information about them, how they behave in class, how attentive they are etc.
